Get Your Board, Your Team, and Yourself Supporting a Community that Supports You

Pennsylvania’s municipal authorities are in a fight for their existence against large, well-financed private companies.

This unsettling environment is new to our state’s local authorities; but it’s very familiar to people like me who have built careers in business leadership.  It's called an industry roll-up, and I’ve been on both the acquiring and the being acquired sides.

For the foreseeable future, this is your new normal – and yes, it’s scary.  If it hasn’t affected

you yet, it will; the private companies aren’t after just a piece of the market.  And if they acquire

your authority, you can expect to be replaced within three to five years by someone younger

and cheaper than you.

But this isn’t cause for despair.  It’s a call to urgent action.

You see, you have real cards to play in this challenge that your private business counterparts

never had.  You have it in your power to keep your job, keep your employees’ jobs, and

to continue serving your community as a public entity (which my business experience

convinces me is the better alternative for everyone).

How?  Watch the brief video below to find out.  Then scroll down for more information.

  • Learn how to get the most from your board, and how to cure the dysfunctions.

  • Recruit and develop a high-performing team without big investments in money or time.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

We hold 10 weekly Zoom sessions of 1 ½ to 2 hours each, depending on how much discussion our participants want to have.  Most sessions are followed with an assignment to apply or plan to apply the day’s key content.

You can take notes, but there’s not much need; after each session you'll receive 2- to 3-page summaries of that day’s important points.  You'll also get management and leadership tools used by some of the world's biggest and most successful organizations.

You can also attend an optional group coaching session each week of up to 90 minutes, in which participants can drop in any time for questions, help, or discussions with me and/or their peers, and then get back to their day at any point.

The next session begins Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 11am to 12:30pm or 1pm.  Coaching sessions will run Thursdays at the same times.

Class size is limited to 10 participants, so don't wait to enroll in the next one.

"The “Lead Up, Lead In, Lead Out” curriculum is so very well designed to meet the specific leadership challenges of Municipal Authorities in our current environment. Barry Wolfe has done a fantastic job of putting together content that is relevant, effective, well structured, enlightening, and entertaining too. I highly recommend this program for anyone who wants to grow in further developing their interpersonal skills and their leadership capabilities, which are so very important for success in today’s business world.

I loved the program and I strongly encourage my colleagues with municipal management responsibilities to take part."
